About our Founder Sonya Liddle 

Founder and Principal Advisor 

Sonya Liddle is a recognised governance and capability leader with over two decades of executive experience spanning energy, resources, government, and community sectors. As the Founder and Principal Advisor of Sun North Consulting and Advisory, Sonya works with organisations to embed strong governance, uplift workforce capability, and drive measurable, values-aligned change.

With deep operational understanding of remote and site-based environments, Sonya specialises in building whole-of-business strategies that bridge policy, performance, and people. She has delivered national workforce capability frameworks, psychosocial safety programs, and inclusive leadership models that align with ESG, WHS, and organisational risk profiles—ensuring her clients lead with purpose, integrity, and impact.

Her approach is grounded in governance excellence, strategic workforce planning, and practical execution. Sonya partners with boards, executives, and operational leaders to design and implement systems that enable resilience, capability maturity, and long-term performance.

Sonya is also a nationally recognised leader in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action (IDEA), having designed and delivered DEI and Reconciliation Action Plans for major corporates, NGOs, and Indigenous-led organisations. Her work integrates psychosocial safety, trauma-informed leadership, and cultural competency into broader business strategy.

She is a multiple award winner, keynote presenter, and trusted voice on governance, cultural leadership, and systems change.

National Safety Leadership

With over 13 years of experience in HSE leadership across the national resources sector, our HSE capability lead has an outstanding track record in delivering high-performance safety strategies across Tier 1 clients. She is widely respected for her trustworthiness, technical knowledge, and unwavering commitment to safety and workforce wellbeing.

Her strengths include:

Human-Centred Program Design

Our disability and NDIS specialist brings extensive experience in community health, disability services, and supported workforce development. With a background in both frontline delivery and policy oversight, she is known for embedding client dignity, choice, and safeguarding into practical, scalable frameworks.
